We’re excited to announce that we will again utilize the Yapp mobile app for our 2025 N.C. Cooperative Extension State Conference.

As has been the case at every state conference since 2016, the app will be an essential tool for event attendees, serving as the central source for schedule information and all things conference. You will have access to real-time announcements, agenda details, hotel maps, Wi-Fi info, program updates and more, all on your mobile device.

The full event program featuring the schedule and other details is also available as a PDF, which can be printed locally if anyone desires a hard copy for the event.

Using the Conference App

We’ve outlined guidance to help you download the app, create a custom schedule and utilize the app to make the most of your conference experience. You can also learn more about Yapp, if interested.

Downloading the App
First, download the Yapp app by following one of these links on a smartphone or tablet:

Once you’ve downloaded Yapp on your device, follow the steps to below to add our Extension conference app:

  • Open Yapp on your device
  • Click “Open an Existing Yapp”
  • Enter this code: EXTENSION25

Device Compatibility
Our Yapp app will work on both iOS and Android devices. Yapp is not compatible, however, with BlackBerry and Windows Phone.

If you have one of these incompatible devices and/or want to view the app as a webpage, visit the download link on a laptop or other computer, and then click the app cover image.

Who, What, When, Where
They say knowing is half the battle, so make sure you’re equipped with the most current, reliable conference info available — on the app! From detailed daily schedules and hotel maps to Wi-Fi login details and guidance on getting around Greensboro, you’ll find all of the event resources you need at your fingertips.

Creating a Custom Schedule
The app is not connected to XLMS, so you’ll need to manually select individual sessions and events within the app to create a personal schedule at the start of conference.

To create a custom schedule in the app:

  • Visit the “Schedule” tab
  • Select the individual session / activity you want to add (one at a time)
  • Click the “Add to My Schedule” button underneath the item description — that’s it!

To view your custom schedule:
Click the starred calendar icon at top right of any page within the “Schedule” tab.

To remove an item from “My Schedule”:
Click the individual item from the list and select “Remove From My Schedule” (at the bottom where you first clicked the button to add it to your schedule).

App Chat / Feedback
The app offers a range of tools and information to help enrich your Extension conference experience. In addition to receiving timely info and updates in the “Announcements” tab, you can post and share your own questions and comments in the “Conference Chat” tab.
