Our first dinner and social will be at Round1 Bowling & Arcade, a family entertainment facility offering bowling, arcade games, billiards, darts, karaoke, ping pong and other fun activities. Wear your favorite sports team attire! Pizza and refreshments will be provided at no cost, while Round1 also offers a cash bar. This will serve as the evening’s dinner meal, but you’re welcome to do dinner on your own if you wish to absorb the cost.

Join us for lunch and a CALS Community Forum led by Garey Fox, dean of the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences at NC State, as we look ahead to a year full of promise and momentum! Dean Fox will share the latest updates on college news and initiatives, followed by a panel discussion exploring the transformative role of AI in our work. Panelists include AI adopters from both N.C. A&T and NC State. The meeting will also be live-streamed via Zoom at go.ncsu.edu/cals-community-forum.

5:30-8 p.m. Awards Dinner / Reception

Join us for an exceptional evening as we recognize and celebrate colleagues and sponsoring partners from across the state with our annual Extension awards ceremony. Preregistration is required to attend the reception. Award winners and donors will have their pictures taken as the awards are being presented. 8-10 p.m. Social (Silent Disco Dance)

The theme for this year’s social will be a Silent Disco! (Never heard of it? Check out an overview of silent discos.) Everyone will receive special headphones that can tune to one of several music sets played by an on-site DJ. Groove to the genre that moves you in this one-of-a-kind, personalized party setting! Finger foods and light refreshments will be available, along with a cash bar.

Employee Headshot Photos

Charles Dickens Photography, our professional photography partners from the 2022 conference, will again be on site each day to take headshots for employees. We strongly encourage everyone to take advantage of this opportunity to get a new professional portrait, which can be used for your Extension bio page and many other applications.

Drop by between sessions, during breaks or as your schedule allows. Photos will be taken on a walk-in / first come, first served basis.

General Store

Each conference participant will receive $15 in “Kirby Kash,” “Monks Money” and “McKinnie Bucks” — view our conference currency — to shop in our Extension General Store. This is meant as a fun and easy way for you to select a conference gift that you would prefer.
