Who Should Attend
Extension State Conference is our organization’s premier professional development and networking event, held every other year for our Extension experts across North Carolina.
Attendance at the conference is expected for all Extension county personnel, regardless of funding source for their position. We also highly encourage campus-based Extension personnel to be present.
All employees with Extension responsibilities at both NC State and N.C. A&T State universities are welcome and encouraged to attend! This includes faculty and staff, agents and specialists, county admin assistants and program support staff (associates, technicians, etc.) — all Extension experts. We hope to see you in Greensboro!

Travel Authorizations (NC State) / Pre-Approval Reports (N.C. A&T)
Refer to the information below when completing your required Travel Authorization (NC State) or Chrome River Pre-Approval Report (N.C. A&T). This applies to Extension county employees from both universities.
Reference Resources:
Meals will be provided beginning with lunch on Monday, January 6, through breakfast on Wednesday, January 8. If you do not take part in Monday’s social (where dinner is provided), please do not claim that dinner on January 6. The room rate is $163.
For budgetary and state lodging rate reasons, we must book double rooms with two employees per room (i.e. roommates). You may select your roommate in the event registration form, otherwise roommates will be assigned.
If you wish to room by yourself, you will be responsible for funding half of the total room cost. Employees may not use state funds for this purpose; you will be required to use personal or county funds at the hotel. This applies to employees from NC State and N.C. A&T.
See the Conference Agenda for your documentation, which is the only documentation you’ll need up front.
Session Registration
After registering for the conference, your next step will be to register for individual sessions taking place throughout the event. Session registration is administered through the Extension Learning Management System (XLMS), where you can choose from over 150 sessions, tours, networking opportunities and more!
Session registration must be completed by December 13, 2024.
