It’s almost that time again, as our 2025 N.C. Cooperative Extension State Conference is quickly approaching! We’re excited to share key updates and registration details to help you take the first steps toward an amazing conference in January.

But first, we want to acknowledge our Extension family in Western North Carolina. We recognize that many of our experts and their communities remain in the throes of recovery efforts related to Hurricane Helene, which will extend into January and well beyond.

To all of our Extension family that have been involved in and/or impacted by the recovery efforts, we are immensely proud and thankful for all that you are doing. Your tireless work, selfless actions and unyielding dedication to your communities are nothing short of awe-inspiring. We echo Dean Fox’s message of gratitude and pride, as our hearts and support remain with all of our colleagues and communities throughout WNC.

Moving Forward With Conference

It was only after careful consideration, and deliberate discussions with our people in the west, that the decision was made to move forward with our 2025 Extension State Conference. We explored every option, including potentially postponing or even canceling the conference.

At the end of the day, Extension State Conference is an essential event for our experts and the organization. It’s the only time and place where our 1,000+ Extension experts from every region of the state converge to exchange knowledge and best practices, trade tips and tools, and better equip one another to pursue our shared mission.

The decision was made to move forward because we believe that continuing with the conference will provide the most meaningful benefits for all of Extension and our stakeholders statewide. We hope that our Extension State Conference will serve not only as an opportunity for professional growth and collaboration, but as a chance for everyone to reconnect and recharge, united in our commitment to continually improve on behalf of everyone we serve across North Carolina.

Conference Registration Now Open

With all of that in mind, we are pleased to share that registration for the 2025 Extension State Conference is officially open!

REGISTER HERE FOR CONFERENCE

Must be completed by November 30, 2024

Attendance at the conference is expected for all Extension county personnel who are able, regardless of funding source for their position. We also highly encourage our campus-based Extension personnel to be present and engaged.

This applies to all employees with Extension responsibilities at both NC State and N.C. A&T State universities. Find more information about who should attend.

You will still need to register for individual sessions through XLMS. View session registration details here.

New Conference Website

We’re also excited to announce the launch of a new conference website, designed to provide all of the information, resources and timely updates you’ll need for our 2025 and future conferences. Note that we will still offer a conference app in addition to the site.

It’s been two years since our last conference, and much has happened — for better and worse — in the world around us during that time. We’re eager for this chance to reconnect with everyone, replenish your energy and resources, and renew our collective commitment to enriching the lives of all North Carolinians.

We’ll see you in Greensboro!
